Today from 10:30 in the morning Turkish Air Force F-16 fighters scrambled from the Ganja airport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and were supporting airborne attacks of Azerbaijani Su -25 and Turkish-made Bayraktar assault drones from Dalyar airport of Azerbaijan in the direction Armenian settlements and land military units of the Republic of Armenia situated in Vardenis, Mets Masrik, Sotk regions (Vardenis, Republic of Armenia). During this period, the own aviation was performing combat tasks providing fire support to units of Air Defense Forces of the Republic of Armenia. While performing a combat mission in an aerial engagement the Armenian SU-25 Fighter was hit by an F-16 multifunctional fighter of the Turkish Air Forces in the air space of Armenia. The pilot, unfortunately, died heroically. The Turkish F-16 multifunctional fighter, according to the flight data recorder, was located at a depth of 60 km, at an altitude of 8200 meters.
